My mom and I traveled into the desert... and this was our view...

The bride and groom: They dressed them up like a king and queen... because they will be king and queen of their household.
The sister of the bride (my friend)!

Garbage City...

If you ask some locals here about Garbage City... they say it doesn't exist.

In this city... men, women, and children go through the trash... and live in it as well. The smell is beyond words. It's heart breaking.

If you look very very closely you can see a red headed little girl sitting on a stand of some sort (on the left hand side)... she is to the left of the the lady sitting on the ground... she's too cute!

These children caught my attention and I am so grateful that I got a picture of them. :)

Visiting a Coptic Cave Church.

Time in the desert... on a camel.

Isaac became best buds with our camel drivers.

Isaac's trip!

My Bubba arrived at about 12:45 a.m. on July 15th. Happy... does not express how I felt to see my little brother!

A new friend...

If you don't wanna run down to the market... just send down the bucket.

Visiting a national friends house!

Let me just say that the food was AMAZING. It was delicious, but here they insist you eat until you CANNOT eat anymore. I reached that point and told the mom I was full. She proceeded to spoon feed me... literally. I thought I would explode.

My flat...

The room w/ the teddy bear is mine, the other is the guest bedroom...

B-day gifts...

Thank you to Jennifer, Marie, and Linda who hooked me up! :)

Cupcakes... for my b-day.

A sweet friend helped me bake some cupcakes for a b-day party.

Mom and Sandra!

Happy Birthday MOM and SIS!!!

I love y'all VERY much!!!

Some early birthday cards!

To my dear friends in Garland... SHUKRAN!!! Thank you for the BUTTERFINGER'S and the cards. You have no idea what that means to me! I love you guys!

PS. The doll was given to me by a national friend a few months ago... she is a young and sweet friend who said she got me the doll to keep me company.

I love them SO much!

Here is a pic of Aaron C. and Abigail Lynn at nana's (my mom) church on Mother's Day!

McDonald's...

McDonald's (like coke) seems to be everywhere. Here's a pic of my neighborhood McD's.
YES! They deliver... o cielos!

Mini plague!!! AH!!!!

I noticed these scary big flying ants a few days ago. I wondered where they were coming from and well was (and still am) concerned because they were dying off by themselves (most of them). Finally, one day I walked into my guest bedroom and well... just look at the pics. It was so GROSS!!! Like a mini plague!

What you need: fly swatter to kill my unwanted friends, tissue paper to throw at ants that surround the light fixture, ant killer, and broom to sweep up the HUGE flying ants. Ahh.... life in the Middle East!
