Had to post this! :)

Thanksgiving in the desert '08.

Okay... so I'm in the M.E. right. Turkey's (good ones) can be hard to find or cook. This Thanksgiving we had chicken!
Also, since I'm not in "Kansas" anymore (or the GREAT state of Texas in my case)... I didn't find french onions for the casserole, so I used corn flakes. :)
Did have some yummy pumpkin pie!
Oh, and made M&M cookies with 3 fun kiddos. They helped from beginning to end (making the dough, and then eating the cookies)! :)

Guess where I went?

You got it! Petra, Jordan.

Some cool caves.

Some Bedouins inside Petra.

Sweet smile.
So... you can see my friends arm. I had to pretend to take her pic to get the men in the background.

Children inside Petra.

There were children everywhere. After a while I began to wonder about their parents.

Yet another little one tending to a donkey.

More little ones...

This precious little boy was sleeping on a rock. He peaked out to look at the loud Americans. ;)
This little one was a bit fussy, but was ready for his camera shot.
And again... was distracted, but wanted a picture.
Saw tons of little ones caring for the donkies.

People in Wadi Musa

It's a shepherdess! :)

Wadi Musa, Jordan... Oh yea!

Aw... little ones...

These little girls are obviously so tiny and yet have big stories. Aren't they beautiful!?

Ok... PLEASE let me explain!!!

SO! I saw this shirt at a market and thought it was so funny! I HONESTLY thought it was referring to WATER! (Yes... I can be a bit innocent at times.) I didn't realize what it was referring to until after I bought it! Thought I'd go ahead and post the picture since I did spend the money on the shirt!

Yummie... a new dessert.

So... a sweet friend shared this with me... had to take a pic! This is totally new (for me). A microwavable BROWNIE! YES!!!

Getting ready for a soccer match.

I love this pic... these guys are hard core! Way to have spirit...
Don't know if you can tell, but this guy is on a motorcycle and had this HUGE flag on his ride.
Now... would this be a hazard? Ah... malesh... he's proud of his country's team.

NO... I didn't go. Don't think it would be girl friendly.

Waiting for a microbus...

A great sunset...

Saying goodbye to my brothers!

Aw... my brothers took me to the airport and then had to walk out with a crock pot and a cute red bag with some high heels in it. Ha ha! Thanks guys! I love you!!!

At the airport... leaving the good U.S. of A

The two bags in the back... had to stay behind. :( But since a friend has brought some things for me.
Isaac wondering how I could have SO much stuff... both my brothers were extremely confused as to why I had a crock pot in my suitcase. Sadly, the crock pot had to stay!

Sisters...

So my sister and I LOVE us some SWEETS! Any kind...

Mom... on her way to SPAIN!

So... I saw my mom off to Spain... it was kinda weird staying behind. :)

Sprinkes... yummie cupcakes.

So my sister introduced me to SPRINKES! Wow! Good stuff...
Inside this little box... OH... some yummie... well take a look...

CUPCAKES!!!! Red velvet AND chocolate. By the way sis, you owe me a red velvet! ;)
